Meet Nancy
Certified Equine Therapist and
Trained Professional
Nancy grew up in Philadelphia, her mother a judge and her father a criminal defense attorney. She was raised in the very unique neighborhood of Mount Airy, Philadelphia which is recognized as one of the first truly successfully integrated neighborhoods in America. Nancy learned from an early age the importance of advocating for the underprivileged and underserved.

Nancy attended Germantown Friends school in Philadelphia, a Quaker school that emphasizes being of service and reaching out to the community at large.
Nancy fell in love with horses at the age of 2, and started riding horses at the age of 5 with Rich Scarlett at Gwyn Meadows Farm, where she not only learned to ride, but also learned how to care for the horses. She worked hard enough to earn her own pony by the age of 9. Her lifelong passion for horses is still going strong!
Nancy received her BA in English Literature from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts. Nancy created the equestrian team, for which she was the captain! This equestrian team is still going strong today.

Nancy received her Masters and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Ryokan College. After graduation, Nancy completed a three year training group under Bruce Gregory Ph.D. to become a Non-directive Hypnotherapist. She then completed another advanced training under Seitze Vanderheide Psy.D. which focused on Object Relations and Self-Psychology Models.

Nancy's unique background, elite education, and life experiences have enabled her to combine her passion for horses, with her calling to be of service and connect horses and humans.
